DJA was initially hired to provide architectural services for the restoration and modernization of the Lloyd Wright designed Lombardi House built in Palos Verdes CA in 1965. The 2500 square foot house sits on a 39,000 square foot parcel with spectacular 180 degree ocean views. The organic interior to exterior connection, the significant deviation over many years from Lloyd Wrights initial landscape design and the clients desire to more fully utilize the entire site resulted in a commission to restore the existing residence and completely re-design the landscape.

The project consisted of complete restoration of the interior and exterior of the residence and the integration of contemporary appliances, amenities and systems into the historic fabric of the house.
